Untertressen is a place in Ausseerland of the Salzkammergut in Styria as well as locality of the municipality Grundlsee in Liezen .

geography

The place is located 30 kilometers northwest of Liezen , 2 km northeast above Bad Aussee , at the entrance to the Grundlsee valley.

The Rotte Untertressen is located 2½ km west of Grundlsee , on the right side in the valley at the foot of the Tressenstein  ( 1201  m above sea level ), at around 760  m above sea level. A. Height. The Tressenstein stands as a mountain spur of the Dead Mountains between Grundlsee and Altaussee.

The small village Untertressen comprises almost 40 addresses with a population of about 60, including the two Stamp Lamers Berg and saddle , the farm Gratschen out of the valley, and a part of Aschau directly on the Grundlseer Traun .

history

The place is already documented around 1295 with three Urhöfe. Until the 19th century, the old locations were La [i] mersberg and Satt [e] l , Ha [r] nischbühel , like all of Obertressen, has belonged to Bad Aussee since 1943. At that time, and around 1950, the place had around 20 houses and has only grown little since then.

From 1947 to 1957 there was a chair lift from Aschau to Tressensattel . But he was hired again because of unprofitability.
