Claire Donahue (born January 12, 1989) is an American international swimmer. She is a member of the 2012 United States Olympic team and will compete in the 100-meter butterfly event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
Donahue grew up in Lenoir City, Tennessee, graduating from Lenoir City High School. After high school, she attended Western Kentucky University majoring in social work.[1]
Donahue qualified for the 2008 Olympic Trials in the 100- and 200-meter butterfly, but did not advance out of the opening round in either event.[1] In 2010, Donahue finished fourth in the 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA Championships. In 2011, she finished second at the Championships in the same event.[1] She went to the 2011 Pan American Games where she won the gold in the 100-meter butterfly and as part of the 4x100-meter medley relay.[1] At the 2011 National Championships, she took second place in 100-meter butterfly and 11th in the 200-meter butterfly.[1]
