(13070) Seanconnery is an asteroid of the main inner belt , which was discovered by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst on September 8, 1991 at the French Observatoire de Haute-Provence in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department ( IAU code 511). An unconfirmed image of the asteroid had already been taken in March 1971 by Tom Gehrels (1127 T-1), as part of the 1st Trojan survey at the 120 cm Oschin Schmidt telescope of the Palomar observatory .

The asteroid's solar orbit is strongly elliptical with an eccentricity of 0.2786 . The rotation period was determined by Rui Gonçalves from 20 to 30 August 2006 at the observatory in Linhaceira in the municipality of Asseiceira in Portugal and is 7.085 (± 0.001) hours.

The mean diameter of (13070) Seanconnery was calculated to be less than 2 kilometers. With an albedo of 0.900 (± 0.095) it has a very light surface.

The asteroid was named after the Scottish actor Sean Connery on March 9, 2001 . In the text of the nomination request, his acting performance in the film The Name of the Rose is particularly emphasized.
