(24695) Štyrský is an asteroid located in the main central belt . It was discovered on September 16, 1990 by the Czech astronomer Antonín Mrkos at the Kleť Observatory ( IAU code 046) near Český Krumlov . The asteroid had previously been sighted on November 6, 1986 under the provisional designation 1986 VF 6 at the Anderson Mesa Station of the Lowell Observatory in Coconino County , Arizona .
At 0.3335, its orbit around the sun is highly eccentric .
(24695) Štyrský was named on November 14, 2016 after the Czech painter , photographer , graphic artist , poet , representative of surrealism and art theorist Jindřich Štyrský (1899–1942).
