Ö1 Campus (formerly oe1campus ) is an Austrian web radio operated by ORF .

The radio station Radio 1476 , which had previously been broadcast on the medium wave frequency , was replaced by the web radio oe1campus on January 1, 2009 , after the operating company ORS stopped operating the transmission system for cost reasons.

The broadcast duration was extended from 6 hours a day to a full 24-hour program. The main target group are schoolchildren, students and migrants. The range of programs consists of different elements: Experimental in-house productions by external editorial offices, national minority programs, regional radio programs and content such as B. the news, from Ö1 .

In a first phase, the daily new productions are repeated cyclically and supplemented by takeovers of Radio Austria 1. According to the ORF, new options for “participatory radio” will be introduced later. Among other things, the “Democracy Workshop” of the Austrian Parliament for children and young people, programs of the “Schoolchildren Radio” project and an offer for the six autochthonous ethnic groups of Austria, the Burgenland-Croatian, the Slovenian, the Hungarian, the Czech, the Slovak ethnic group and the ethnic group, are broadcast of the Roma according to the obligations of § 5.1 ORF law.
