Austria is a place in the municipality of Hitzendorf in the Graz-Umgebung district , Styria .

The name of the place was derived from the Austrian white grape variety , which was previously grown in the area.

The Rotte is about ten kilometers west of Graz, in the Södingtal , on the left side on a hill, at about 400  m above sea level. A.
