(260886) Henritudor is an asteroid of the main outer belt , which was discovered by the English - Luxembourg astronomer and musician Matt Dawson on August 31, 2005 at the French Observatoire des Côtes de Meuse ( IAU code 216). The observatory is located in Viéville-sous-les-Côtes , in the municipality of Vigneulles-lès-Hattonchâtel , not far from the Luxembourg border.

The solar orbit of the asteroid is strongly inclined at more than 26 ° to the ecliptic of the solar system . With an albedo of 0.041 (± 0.018) it has a very dark surface.

(260886) Henritudor was named on January 27, 2013 after the Luxembourg engineer and inventor Henri Tudor (1859–1928), the inventor of the first usable lead-acid battery .
