(2747) Český Krumlov ( 1980 DW ; 1953 FO 1 ; 1975 EK 5 ; 1977 SV 2 ; 1977 TM 3 ; 1977 TS 7 ; 1982 OM ) is an asteroid about 30 kilometers in size of the outer main belt , which was discovered on February 19, 1980 from Czech (then: Czechoslovakia ) astronomer Antonín Mrkos at the Kleť observatory on the Kleť near Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic ( IAU code 046).
designation
(2747) Český Krumlov was named after the town of Český Krumlov , which is now in the Okres Český Krumlov in the Jihočeský kraj region in the Czech Republic. The city lies on the Vltava , after which the asteroid (2123) Vltava is named. The Kleť observatory, where the asteroid was discovered, is about 700 meters above the city.
