(2762) Fowler ( 1981 AT ; 1930 YM ; 1935 FH ; 1942 EE ; 1949 AD ; 1956 AD ; 1974 DB 2 ) is an approximately four kilometers large asteroid of the main inner belt that was discovered on January 14, 1981 by the American astronomer Edward LG Bowell was discovered at Lowell Observatory , Anderson Mesa Station ( Anderson Mesa ) near Flagstaff , Arizona ( IAU code 688).
designation
(2762) Fowler was named after the physicist and astronomer for theoretical astrophysics Ralph Howard Fowler (1889-1944) from the United Kingdom . Among his discoveries is the state of the material from white dwarfs . A moon crater was also named after Fowler .
