(6983) Komatsusakyo is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 17 December 1993 by Japanese amateur astronomer Takao Kobayashi at Oizumi Observatory ( IAU code 411) in the Japanese prefecture of Gunma was discovered.

The asteroid was on 21 September 2002 after the Japanese science fiction - writers Sakyō Komatsu named (1931 to 2011), the most important novels sinks Japan and Sayonara Jupiter filmed and published in the West.
