(9339) Kimnovak is an asteroid of the main outer belt discovered by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst on April 8, 1991 at the La Silla Observatory of the European Southern Observatory in Chile ( IAU code 809).

The asteroid belongs to the Themis family, a group of asteroids named after (24) Themis . According to the SMASS classification ( Small Main-Belt Asteroid Spectroscopic Survey ), a spectroscopic study by Gianluca Masi , Sergio Foglia and Richard P. Binzel at (9339) Kimnovak assumed a dark surface, so it could, roughly speaking, be trade a C asteroid .

The timeless (non- osculating ) orbital elements of (9339) Kimnovak are almost identical to those of the two smaller ones, assuming the absolute magnitude of 14.5 and 15.1 compared to 13.6, asteroids (31633) 1999 GH 30 and ( 165823) 2001 RJ 113 .

(9339) Kimnovak was named on November 20, 2002 after the American film actress Kim Novak . Highlighted in the naming text is her acting in the movie Picnic of 1955 alongside William Holden . After Holden, the asteroid of the main outer belt (9340) was named Williamholden on the same day .
