action

Police officers Leo Kessler and Paul McAnn track down the serial killer Warren Stacey, who kills women after they reject his sexual advances. Since his way of flirting is considered scary by women, it happens a lot. Kessler is able to arrest Stacey, but for lack of solid evidence he is released again. Convinced of Stacey's guilt, Kessler forges evidence to put Stacey behind bars, but in court, Kessler is betrayed by McAnn, who refuses to participate in the hoax, and is dishonorably dismissed from service.

Stacey targets Kessler's daughter Laurie as revenge. Kessler is now no longer holding anything, he clings to Stacey's heels, but cannot prevent the latter from killing three of Laurie's roommates and friends. When Stacey pursues Laurie, he is caught by Kessler and the arriving police. Stacey yells that he will claim to be insane and therefore insane and that he will soon be free again and the whole world will hear from him. Kessler then kills Stacey with a headshot .

Reviews

Kino.de said: "Exciting, well-made and [...] grippingly designed action shocker and vigilante film. Kessler, like some of his role models embodied by Bronson, despairs of the complicated legal system and turns to vigilante justice. Very attractive as Bronson's daughter: Lisa Eilbacher. Very good as a criminal defense attorney: Geoffrey Lewis. Likewise, the color photography by cameraman Adam Greenberg, which plunges LA into gloom. "

Cinema described the film as a "simple-minded Bronson vehicle".

The lexicon of international films ruled: "Bloodthirsty, ideologically questionable and technically poor vigilante justice film."

background

The film was shot mostly in Los Angeles . He played just under 7.2 million in the cinemas of the United States dollar one.
