- Emperor Justinian I quotes Pope Vigilius to Constantinople in order to win him over to his Monophysite- friendly policy. Justinian's goal is in particular the condemnation of the three theologians Ibas von Edessa , Theodoret von Kyrrhos and Theodor von Mopsuestia (see: Three Chapter Dispute ).
