Aaron Douglas Kyle (* 6. April 1954 in Detroit , Michigan , USA ) is a former American American Football- players. He played as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL) with the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos .

Player career

College career

Aaron Kyle attended high school in his hometown and received an athletic scholarship from the University of Wyoming as a football player in 1971 . With the Wyoming Cowboys , the football team of his college , he played as safety college football . Because of his athletic performance, he took part in three selection games.

Professional career

In 1976 , Kyle was drafted 27th in the first round by the Dallas Cowboys . The head coach of the Cowboys, Tom Landry , put him in the position of cornerback as a substitute for Benny Barnes . In 1977 he was able to assert himself as a starter and also celebrated his greater sporting success that year. He won the NFC championship and the Super Bowl with the team from Dallas, led by quarterback Roger Staubach . First, the Cowboys beat the Minnesota Vikings 23: 6 in the NFC final . This was followed by a 37-7 win over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XII . In this game Kyle managed to intercept a pass from opposing quarterback Craig Morton , which he could contribute significantly to the victory of his team.

The following season Kyle failed after winning the NFC title again in Super Bowl XIII with 35:31 at the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In 1980 , Aaron Kyle joined the Denver Broncos, managed by Red Miller . After the 1982 season he ended his career.
