Adolf Friedrich von Witzendorff . Also Adolph Friedrich , Witzendorf (* 1. March 1747 in Lübeck ; † 2. April 1818 in Klein Brütz ) was a German landlord and the last provost in the Bishopric of Lübeck .

Life

Adolf Friedrich von Witzendorff came from the Lüneburg patrician family Witzendorff . Both his father August Christian von Witzendorff († 1763) and his grandfather Dietrich Wilhelm von Witzendorff (1661–1712) were deans of the Lübeck cathedral chapter . The prince educator of the same name at the Neustrelitz court, Adolf Friedrich von Witzendorff (1737–1772), with whom he is often confused or mixed up, was his uncle.

At the age of 13, on March 7, 1760, at the presentation of the Danish King Frederick V, he received his canonical, the so-called Holstein Distinction Präbende , which had become free due to the early death of the young Herr von Bredahl , Peter von Bredahl's eldest son .
