Agios Ioannis ( Greek Άγιος Ιωάννης ) is a municipality in the district of Limassol in Cyprus . At the 2011 census it had 339 inhabitants.

Location and surroundings

Agios Ioannis is located in the middle of the island of Cyprus at an altitude of 874 meters, about 42 km southwest of the capital Nicosia , 21 km north of Limassol and 51 km west of Larnaka .

The place is located about 23 km from the Mediterranean Sea in the interior of the island in the Troodos Mountains . It appears as a traditional mountain village with older stone houses, an old well, two churches and small chapels.

Places in the vicinity are Agros in the north, Agios Theodoros in the east, Zoopigi in the south and Kato Mylos in the west.
