Akapnou ( Greek Ακαπνού ) is a municipality in the district of Limassol in Cyprus . At the 2011 census it had 20 residents.
Location and surroundings
Akapnou is located in the southern center of the island of Cyprus at an altitude of 388 meters, about 38 km southwest of the capital Nicosia , 20 km northeast of Limassol and 38 km west of Larnaka .
The village is about 14 kilometers from the Mediterranean coast from the interior of the island in the southern part of the Troodos Mountains . The place is located in a comparatively green area, to the east the Vasilopotamos stream runs and the landscape around the village is characterized by olive tree cultivation. The district of Larnaka begins just north and east .
Places in the area are Ora in the north, Lageia in the east, Vikla and Klonari in the south, Eptagonia in the west and Melini in the northwest.
