Alan Fitzpatrick
Alan Fitzpatrick (* in Southampton in the UK ) is a British music producer and Tech House - DJ .
Musical career
Alan Fitzpatrick's career began in 2009 when he released his EP Static / Rubix on the Swedish music label Drumcode . In the same year Fitzpatrick published the EP Reflections on the Bedrock label , which is operated by British techno DJ John Digweed . This track was known and recognized by BBC Radio 1 in the Essential Mix as "New Tune".
A year later, in 2010, he also produced the music label's first album on Drumcode under the name Shadows in the Dark . The titles Xerrox Structure and A Small Decline in particular turned out to be great successes in the techno scene. In the same year a remix album by Shadows in the Dark was released, in which well-known techno greats such as Mark Broom , Gary Beck and Adam Beyer remixed Fitzpatrick's songs .
In the years to come, Fitzpatrick continued to release EPs, including on Drumcode, his own label 8 Sided Dice, and other music labels. His tracks have been played by Carl Cox , Adam Beyer and Len Faki , among others . More attention was given his EP Skeksis (2012), the 2015 Jel Ford has been remixed and the top 10 in the Beatport - charts reached. More Albums and EPs followed, among others, on Sven Väth's label Cocoon Recordings and Sasha label Last Night on Earth.
Alan Fitzpatrick has performed in Germany , South America and the Netherlands , among others . He played in clubs such as Tresor and Berghain in Berlin, as well as regularly at festivals such as the Awakenings events or Mayday .
Music genre
Fitzpatrick's style is characterized by a strong bass drum and a melody that usually contains many harmonic elements such as synths . In a 2015 interview, Fitzpatrick described his musical influences . These consist of Joy Division , Prince and Goldie as well as Radiohead and James Blake , among others .
