Albert Jurgenson

Albert Jurgenson ( June 4, 1929 - June 12, 2002 ) was a French film editor .

Life

After studying at La fémis , Albert Jurgenson had the opportunity in 1955 to take on the editing of The Invisible Fee , an animated film by Jean Tourane. From this to his last cut in 1995, the Turkish drama Aşk Ölümden Soğuktur by Canan Gerede , Jurgenson's career as an editor spans not only over 40 years, but also almost 80 films and documentaries.

Jurgenson has long-term working relationships with a wide variety of French directors, including Alain Resnais , Jeanne Moreau , Yves Boisset and Gérard Oury . For two Resnais films, Providence and Smoking / No Smoking , he received a César award for best film editing .

Jurgenson also wrote the script on two of Robert Dhéry's films . In addition to Baldwin, the dry swimmer (1968), he also wrote Vos gueules les mouettes! (1974) with.
