Albrecht Schubert (born June 23, 1886 in Marienwerder ; † November 26, 1966 in Bielefeld ) was a German officer , most recently a general of the infantry in World War II .

Life

Schubert was transferred from the cadet corps on February 27, 1904 as an ensign to the infantry regiment "Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia" (2nd Magdeburg) No. 27 of the Prussian Army and was promoted to lieutenant on January 27, 1905 . On December 19, 1907 he was transferred to the grenadier regiment "King Friedrich Wilhelm II." Promoted to captain on November 28, 1914 during the First World War , Schubert was transferred to the General Command of the Landwehr Corps on December 7, 1916 . As an orderly officer he came to the 4th Landwehr Division on March 6, 1917 , worked for the General Staff of the V Army Corps from September 7 to November 19, 1917 and then became First General Staff Officer of the 111th Infantry Division . This was followed from February 19, 1918, when he was employed by the general staff of the 202nd Infantry Division , before Schubert returned to the grenadier regiment "King Friedrich Wilhelm II."
