Alena Masouka

Alena Masouka ( Belarusian Алена Мазоўка , English transcription Alena Mazouka ; born June 30, 1967 ) is a Belarusian long-distance runner who had her greatest successes in the marathon .

She won national titles in 1993 over 3000 m , 1999 over 5000 m and from 1994 to 1997, 1999 and 2003 over 10,000 m .

At the World Half Marathon Championships she came in 1994 in Oslo in 48th place and in 1995 in Belfort in 18th place in 1995 she was second at the Lausanne Marathon . The following year, she finished tenth in the London Marathon , finished 24th in the Atlanta Olympic Games marathon and won the Venice Marathon .

In 1997 she finished ninth in London and seventh in the Tokyo International Women's Marathon . At the marathon of the World Athletics Championships in Athens and at the World Half Marathon Championships in Košice , she did not reach the goal. In 1998 she came 15th at the Nagoya Marathon , 43rd at the World Half Marathon Championships in Uster and seventh at the Beijing Marathon .

In 2003 she won the Košice marathon . In 2004 she was sixth in the Prague Marathon and in 2005 second in the Warsaw Marathon .

In 2006 she won the Krakow Marathon and the Dębno Marathon . In 2007 she was third and in 2008 fourth in Krakow.
