Alexander Beyrodt (born November 4, 1964 in Saarbrücken ) is a German guitarist , composer and producer from Saarland . He has been a session guitarist for over 20 years and has contributed to many records. During that time he has played over 1000 shows in over 25 countries.

Life

Alexander Beyrodt moved with his family to Spiesen-Elversberg a year after his birth . At the age of 14 Beyrodt came to play guitar , inspired by the rock band Deep Purple . First he learned a draftsman . He later left Saarland and moved to Dortmund , where he designed pubs and restaurants in the architecture department of a brewery .

In 1988 Alex Beyrodt made his entry into the professional music scene in the German heavy metal band Sinner . In this band he played as a guitarist, intermittently, until 2001 and toured numerous times (including supporting acts for Whitesnake , Savatage , Deep Purple and Mr. Big ).

He spent some time in Los Angeles in the early 1990s . In 1999, 2001, 2003, 2006 he toured worldwide as the guitarist of the German heavy metal band Primal Fear .

In 1999 he founded his own band, Silent Force , which was particularly successful in Japan. In this band he worked with the American rock singer DC Cooper, who was previously active in the Danish band Royal Hunt . Between 2000 and 2010 he traveled the globe several times and held workshops and clinics. He visited countries in Europe, the USA, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and Japan.

In 2009 he founded the band Alex Beyrodt's Voodoo Circle . The band also includes the musicians David Readman (vocals), Mat Sinner (electric bass), Markus Kullmann (drums) and Alessandro Del Vecchio (keyboard). The second album Broken Heart Syndrome was released in February 2011, followed by More Than One Way Home in 2012 . Since 2009 he has been a permanent member of the Primal Fear band, replacing Henny Wolter, who founded his own band Nitrogods , both there and with Sinner . Since 2011 he has been a permanent member of Sinner again.

In his musical career, in addition to his band activity, he was also active as a tour guitarist for Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple). He also starred with Peter Maffay , Tony Carey ( Rainbow ), Mel Gaynor ( Simple Minds ), Martin Engelien ( Klaus Lage Band ), Michael Sadler ( Saga ), Paul Shortino ( Quiet Riot ) in the studio or on stage. Since 2011 he has accompanied the tours of Rock Meets Classic as a guitarist .

Since 2010 Beyrodt has been living in his old home town of Spiesen-Elversberg again , in whose Golden Book he is immortalized and in 2019 he was inducted into the Hall Of Fame.

Sound technology

His equipment consists of Stratocaster products from Siggi Braun, as well as a number of Fender Stratocasters. At the beginning of 2000 he was honored with a custom model from the manufacturer ESP , which was presented to him in Japan as part of a tour with Silent Force. He uses sound effects from GuitarSlinger Effects and those from Tonemaster, which he developed himself. Alex Beyrodt is also a sound designer and demonstrates products at trade shows around the world.
