Alyaksandr Wiktarawitsch Kulakou ( Belarusian Аляксандр Віктаравіч Кулакоў , Russian Александр Викторович Кулаков / Alexander Viktorovich Kulakov * 15. May 1983 in Minsk , Byelorussian SSR ) is a Belarusian ice hockey player who since 2018 again at Yunost Minsk in Belarusian Extraliga is under contract.

Career

Aljaksandr Kulakou began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at HK Junost Minsk , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Belarusian extra league in the 2000/01 season . The attacker then moved to the city neighbor HK Keramin Minsk , with whom he won the double of the Belarusian championship and cup in 2002. After a season at HK Vitebsk , he signed for the 2003/04 season with HK Dinamo Minsk , with which he won the national cup competition in 2005 and 2006 and the national championship in the 2006/07 season. Only during some games of the 2003/04 season he ran parallel for his ex-club HK Junost Minsk and in the playoffs of the following season for Chimik-SKA Nawapolazk .

For Dinamo Minsk Kulakou scored six goals in 37 games in the 2008/09 season in the newly founded Continental Hockey League and prepared another ten. However, he ended the season in the extra league at his ex-club Keramin Minsk. For the 2009/10 season , the national player returned to the KHL squad Dinamos. In the following four years he completed over 200 KHL games for Dinamo before he was signed by Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in May 2013 . For Torpedo, however, he completed only 16 KHL games and returned to Dinamo a year later.

International

For Belarus , Kulakou took part in the junior division in the U18 Junior World Championship 2000 and the U18 Junior B World Championship in 2001 , as well as the U20 Junior World Championships in 2001 , 2002 and 2003 . In the senior sector, he competed for Belarus at the 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 and 2013 World Championships and the 2010 Winter Olympics .
