He then worked in Prague as a preacher, confessor and monastery librarian.

When a new secondary school was opened in Prague , Parizek turned to pedagogy. He studied Socrates ' teaching method , attended lectures on pedagogy and catechetics and became a catechist at the parish school of St. Aegidius. He then became a teacher of calligraphy , natural history and history at the normal school . After two years he switched to the subjects of religion , catechetics and education . Health problems are given as the reason.

He held this office for three decades.

In 1798 Parizek traveled to Vienna to submit a draft to improve the school system to the Imperial and Royal Minister of State von Rotterhan. This draft was approved. He was honored for his services; so he received an honorary theological doctorate in 1802 and also became director of an orphanage near St. Johann in Prague. At the University of Prague he served as dean of the faculty of theology from 1811 and as prelate from 1816 .

Parizek died in Prague at the age of 73.
