Allen Coulter (* in Amarillo , Texas ) is an American director , screenwriter and producer . He became known through the two films The Hollywood Conspiracy and Remember Me - Live the Moment .

life and career

Allen Coulter, born in Amarillo, Texas, studied theater at the University of Texas and then moved to New York to pursue his film career. In 1978 he worked as an assistant director on Joseph Jacoby's crime comedy Today we steal our bank . In 1988 he finally had his breakthrough as a screenwriter in Hollywood and in 1989 he directed his first episode for the US series Monsters . Since then, Coulter has directed numerous episodes of well-known television series . Including the well-known series such as the X-Files - The scary cases of the FBI , Millennium - Fear your neighbor as yourself , Sex and the City , The Sopranos , Six Feet Under - Always dies , Rome , Sons of Anarchy , Law & Order , Nurse Jackie , Boardwalk Empire , Ray Donovan , House of Cards , Extant , Vinyl , Get Shorty or For All Mankind .

Between 1999 and 2010 he received a total of six primetime Emmy nominations, including each an Emmy nomination in the category Best Director for a Drama Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2000 , at the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2004 and in 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards .

In 2006 he succeeded in starring Adrien Brody , Diane Lane and Ben Affleck with The Hollywood Conspiracy . The film ran in 2006 as an official competition entry at the Venice International Film Festival .

In 2010, Allen Coulter directed the romantic drama Remember Me - Live the Moment with Robert Pattinson .
