Allgäu beer route

The Allgäuer Bierstraße runs along 30 Allgäuer brewery and inns in Bavaria / Upper Swabia and can be divided into three route sections (west, south, east).

Route

The start and end of the Allgäu Bierstraße is the city of Memmingen , often referred to as the “gateway to the Allgäu”. The western route with the stations Kronburg, Leutkirch, Dürren, Eisenharz, Isny, Meckatz, Weiler-Simmerberg and Missen runs primarily through the lakeside region of the Allgäu; the southern route with the stations Ettensberg, Sonthofen, Oberstdorf and Rettenberg through the alpine Allgäu; the east route with the stations Nesselwang, Pfronten, Eisenberg-Speiden, Schwangau, Apfeltrang, Kaltenthal-Aufkirch, Irsee, Bad Wörishofen, Katzbrui and Ottobeuren through an Allgäu characterized by castles, monasteries and palaces.
