Almerich Grafendorfer

Almerich Grafendorfer ( Amelrich ) (* before 1251; † 1267 ) was the fourth bishop of Lavant .

Almerich Grafendorfer came from a Salzburg ministerial family based in Friesach. He joined the Cistercian order, was abbot of Rein Abbey from 1251 to 1265 and was appointed Bishop of Lavant by Salzburg's Archbishop Ulrich in 1265 . Almerich consecrated three altars in Vorau Abbey and took part in the Provincial Synod in Vienna in 1267 . He died after just two years in reign.
