Herbord (Lavant)
Herbord († 1275 ) was bishop of the Salzburg diocese Lavant and vicar general of Salzburg from 1267 . From 1270 he was auxiliary bishop in Breslau .
Herbord, a member of the Order of the Minorites , came from Silesia and is said to have been the confessor of Duchess Hedwig von Andechs . On December 17, 1267 he was appointed Bishop of Lavant and consecrated in July 1267 . At the same time he held the office of vicar general in the Archdiocese of Salzburg. In 1268 Pope Clement IV commissioned him to settle the dispute between the Benedictine Abbey of Admont and the provost of Klosterneuburg over the church of Piben . After the death of the Salzburg archbishop Wladislaw von Schlesien , he became auxiliary bishop in Breslau .
