Alt Stahnsdorf ( Lower Sorbian Stańšojce ) is a district of the small town of Storkow (Mark) in Brandenburg's Oder-Spree district , near the Storkow motorway junction on the A12 . Neu Stahnsdorf, about two kilometers to the north, belongs to Alt Stahnsdorf. The two villages are part of the Dahme-Heideseen nature park .
Geography and ecology
Alt Stahnsdorf is located on Lake Stahnsdorfer See in the Dahme Lake area. The island in Stahnsdorfer See is home to a colony of gray herons and is under nature protection . The 50 hectare lake is popular with anglers because of the good carp population. The Stahnsdorfer Fließ drains the lake into the Storkower Canal . The flow is almost in its entire course as part of the protected area Storkower channel under conservation . The conservation area is intended to preserve wild plant communities, forest communities and animal species in the moored lowland between the Wolziger and Stahnsdorfer lakes. These include tall herbaceous corridors and crab claw corridors and endangered species such as otters , asp and bitterling . The area is also designated as an FFH area in the Natura 2000 network .
history
Alt Stahnsdorf was created as a round square village or anger village, probably at the beginning of the 13th century. The name Stanßdorff or Staynsdorf first appeared in documents in 1450 as the possession of the von Milow family.
After it was raised to an independent office in 1653, Friedrich Wilhelm von Brandenburg signed the village over to his wife Luise Henriette von Oranien , who had a model farm built there next to a castle-like manor house based on the Dutch model. At that time, Alt Stahnsdorf's population consisted largely of farm workers and craftsmen who belonged to the estate. After Luise's death in 1667, the manor was pledged to the elector's secretary and valet Martitz, but was repurchased in 1677 for Prince Elector Friedrich . From 1812 the Stahnsdorf office existed. In 1945 the manor house was blown up by an SS unit , the surrounding manor park with the oaks that are now over 300 years old, as well as some outbuildings have been preserved.
On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community of Neu Stahnsdorf was incorporated.
Alt Stahnsdorf was incorporated into Storkow on March 31, 2002.
