Alte Veste is a district of the Middle Franconian town of Fürth which is named after the Alte Veste castle ruins .

The small district is located in the southern part of the city. It borders in the west on the district Eschenau , in the northwest on the Westvorstadt , with the Main-Danube Canal in the north on the district Dambach , in the northeast on the Südstadt, in the east on the district Weikershof and finally in the south on Zirndorf .
