Amanda Lovato (* 9 July 1972 as Amanda Gillam ) is a former American duathlete and triathlete .

Career

In 1999 she became duathlon world champion in the age group 25-29. Amanda Gillam has been a professional triathlete since 2003. She has been married to the triathlete Michael Lovato (* 1973) since 2004 and has started as Amanda Lovato ever since.

After she was active for a few years on the long distance (Ironman: 3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling, 42.195 km running), she later starts mainly in competitions on half the Ironman distance, the Ironman 70.3 distance (1, 9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running).

In November 2011, she was twelfth at the Triathlon World Championship on the long distance. It has not appeared internationally since 2012.
