Amath Ndiaye Diedhiou (born July 16, 1996 in Pikine , Dakar region ), also known as Amath , is a Senegalese football player who plays as a striker for the Spanish club Getafe FC .

Club career

Amath was born in Pikine and joined Atlético Madrid in 2014 from Real Valladolid's youth . On September 5, 2015, he made his debut in professional football for the second team of the Madrilenians when he came on in a 0-0 in the Tercera División against CDE Lugo Fuenlabrada .

On November 15, 2015, Amath scored his first goals in a 3-0 home win over CD Móstoles . The following January 6, he scored a hat trick in a 4-1 away win at AD Parla .

On August 28, 2016, Amath was awarded for one year at CD Tenerife in the Segunda División . He made his debut on September 3 when he replaced Álex García in a 3-1 away defeat against FC Elche . Amath scored his first goal against former club Real Valladolid in a 3-1 away Copa del Rey defeat on October 12, 2016 .

Amath finished the season with 12 goals and was a key player for the team that narrowly missed the play-offs for promotion. On August 10, 2017, he signed a five-year contract with Getafe CF , a Primera División club that acquired 50% of his rights.

Amath made his debut in the top division of Spanish football on August 20, 2017 in a 0-0 win against Athletic Bilbao . On September 30, he scored his first goal in a 2-1 loss to Deportivo de La Coruña .
