Fayçal Fajr ( Arabic فيصل فجر, DMG Faiṣal Faǧr ; * August 1, 1988 in Rouen ) is a French - Moroccan football player .
Career
society
Fajr began playing football at a small club from Sotteville-lès-Rouen and then at US Quevilly before moving to the youth division of Le Havre AC in 2000 . Later he briefly belonged to the youth team of FC Rouen and finally moved to CMS Oissel, where he played for the first team in the fifth division from 2006. In 2008 he rose to a league with his signature at ES Fréjus , which was renamed Étoile Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël a year later , and at the same time became a regular player in the fourth division. In 2010 he made it to the third division with the team. After having been one of the top performers in Fréjus for three years, he was courted by the first division club SM Caen and the second division club RC Lens at the beginning of the 2011/12 season . Fajr chose Caen and made his debut on the 4th matchday of the new season in the first division when he was used in the 2: 3 against Stade Rennes . In the further course of the season he completed a total of 13 league games, most of them from the start, but had to accept relegation to the second division in 2012. After this he became a regular player in his first year in the second division, where he failed with the team on promotion. This was achieved in 2014 in the second attempt.
Following the promotion, Fajr decided to move abroad and signed with the Spanish first division club FC Elche .
National team
Fayr made his debut on November 25, 2015 in the 1-0 defeat against Equatorial Guinea for the Moroccan national soccer team . With Morocco he took part in the Africa Cup of 2017 , in which they failed in the quarter-finals against Egypt . He scored his first international goal in the 2-0 win against Burkina Faso on March 24, 2017. He was in Morocco's squad for the 2018 World Cup . In the 2-2 draw against Spain , he came on in the 63rd minute of the game for Younès Belhanda and prepared the interim 2-1 lead by Youssef En-Nesyri . Morocco was the last to be eliminated from Group B in the group stage.
