Deyverson (born May 8, 1991 in Santa Margarida , Minas Gerais ; actually Deyverson Brum Silva Acosta ) is a Brazilian soccer player . The striker is under contract with Palmeiras São Paulo and plays on loan with Deportivo Alavés .

Career

Deyverson started playing football in Mangaratiba in the state of Rio de Janeiro with the local Grêmio Mangaratibense and was signed by Benfica Lisbon for the 2012/13 season . For his second team he made his debut on September 19, 2012 (6th matchday) in a 2-2 home game against CD Tondela in the Segunda League . He scored his first goal in his second league game on November 10, 2012 (13th matchday) in the away game against UD Oliveirense with the winning goal to make it 2-1 in the 79th minute. For the 2013/14 season he moved to league rivals Belenenses Lisbon , for whom he was used for the first time on August 18, 2013 in the 3-0 defeat in the home game against Rio Ave FC . In the 2014/15 season he developed into a dangerous attacker and scored eight goals in 16 games in the first half of the season.

At the beginning of February 2015 Deyverson was awarded to the German Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln until the end of the season. He made his Bundesliga debut on February 14, 2015 (21st match day) in the 0-1 defeat in the away game in the Rhenish Derby against Borussia Mönchengladbach , when he came on for Yūya Ōsako in the 77th minute. He scored his first competitive goal for 1. FC Köln on March 3, 2015 in the 1: 2 away defeat in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup against SC Freiburg . He scored his first Bundesliga goal on March 8, 2015 (24th matchday) in a 4-2 win at home against Eintracht Frankfurt with the goal to make it 1-0 in the 28th minute. At the end of the season, an agreed purchase option was not used and Deyverson went back to Portugal.

For the 2015/16 season Deyverson moved to UD Levante in the Spanish Primera División . During the season he scored nine goals in 33 league games. For the 2016/17 season he was awarded for one year to the league competitor Deportivo Alavés . Upon his return, he joined the Brazilian club Palmeiras São Paulo , with whom he became Brazilian champions in the 2018 season . In January 2020, Deyverson was loaned to Getafe FC until the end of the season. After that, he did not return to Palmeiras, but was loaned again from Deportivo Alavés.
