The Amilcar Type CV ( Amilcar CV for short ) was a passenger car of the French brand Amilcar .
description
The vehicle was presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 1922 . It was based on the Amilcar Type CC . The four-cylinder engine had a 57 mm bore , 95 mm stroke and 970 cm³ displacement . This resulted in a classification of 6 Cheval fiscal . The engine developed 18 hp . The engine was water-cooled according to the thermosiphon principle .
The chassis corresponded to the type CC . The wheelbase was 231 cm and the track width was 110 cm. The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . There was no differential or front brakes.
The only known body shape was a two-seater roadster . In many cases, the seats were slightly offset and the windshield was designed in a V shape.
In 1923, the successor Amilcar Type CS followed with a slightly larger engine.
