The Amilcar Type J ( Amilcar J for short ) was a passenger car of the French brand Amilcar .

description

The vehicle was the end of 1925 as the successor of Amilcar Type E presented. It also had a four-cylinder engine with thermosiphon cooling installed in the front . The bore was enlarged to 73 mm. In conjunction with a 112 mm stroke , this resulted in a displacement of 1875 cm³ . The tax classification was 11  Cheval fiscal , but Amilcar continued to advertise with 10 CV. The engine developed 46  hp .

The chassis had been enlarged a little. The wheelbase was now 3000 mm and the track width was 1273 mm. The vehicle length specified is 4038 mm, but this may vary depending on the structure. The usual body shape was a touring car with four seats. There were also some four-door sedans .

Up to the discontinuation in March 1928 a maximum of 300 vehicles were produced. The numbers went from 60,501 to 60,800.

In October 1928 the Amilcar Type C 8 was presented as the successor. But it did not go into production until 1929 together with the more powerful Amilcar Type CS 8 .
