The Amilcar Type CS ( Amilcar CS for short ) was a passenger car of the French brand Amilcar . The CS stood for Cyclecar Sport .

description

The model was presented in 1923 as the successor to the Amilcar Type CV . It was the sports version of the Amilcar Type CC . As with its predecessor, it was a four-cylinder engine with thermosiphon cooling . A 58 mm bore and 95 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 1004 cm³ and a classification of 6  Cheval fiscal . The engine developed between 23 and 25  hp . It was the same engine as in the Amilcar Type C 4 .

The chassis corresponded to the type CC . The wheelbase was 231 cm and the track width was 110 cm. The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . A differential gear was dispensed with. The curb weight was around 400 kg and thus above the limit for cycle cars .

The only known design was an open roadster with two seats, which were often arranged slightly offset next to each other.

Production ended in 1925. The engines were given the numbers from 5001 to 9950, which suggests a maximum of 4950 vehicles. It can be assumed that the Type C 4 with the same engine is included in these figures.
