description

This model was released in July 1934 as successor to Amilcar Type C 3 , in turn, on the Amilcar Type C was followed.

The four-cylinder engine kept a 59 mm bore and got an enlarged stroke of 85 mm. That resulted in 930 cm³ cubic capacity and 5  Cheval fiscal . The engine developed 22  hp .

The wheelbase was extended to 237 cm. The front track remained at 106 cm, while the rear was widened to 110 cm. The curb weight was given in a source as 540 kg. Another source gives between 720 kg and 750 kg, depending on the structure.

The best-selling body style was a two-door , four-seat sedan . It had a sloping radiator grille , long front fenders , doors hinged on the B-pillar that sloped at the front, and a sloping rear. They were also called aerodynamics . Another source also mentions a coupé and convertible with three seats and a roadster with two seats. A panel van that was available with both a straight and angled radiator grille was rarely sold . One illustration shows small round front fenders and straight doors that were hinged on the A-pillar .

Production ended in 1934. This model and the two previous models are sometimes referred to as the 5 CV . Between 1932 and 1934, 2,456 vehicles of these three models were built. The Type C 5 only accounted for around 200 vehicles.
