The Amilcar Type G (short Amilcar G ) was a passenger car of the French brand Amilcar .

description

Amilcar presented the vehicle at the Paris Motor Show in October 1924 , but did not begin series production until October 1925. It was in size between the smaller Amilcar Type CC and the larger Amilcar Type E placed.

The dimensions of the four-cylinder engine matched those of the Amilcar type CGS . However, there were small differences in the camshaft . 60 mm bore and 95 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 1074 cm³ and a tax classification of 7  Cheval fiscal . The engine developed 28  hp . The thermosiphon cooling was typical of the time. The three-speed gearbox corresponded to the type CGS .

The wheelbase was 260 cm and the track width was 119 cm. The vehicle length is 331 cm and the vehicle width is 128 cm. The vehicle weighed around 800 kg, depending on the body. In contrast to the type CGS , the rear axle had a differential gear .

Production was stopped at the end of 1927. The engines were given the numbers from 70,001 to 72,500, which indicates a maximum of 2500 vehicles. On the other hand, the production of 312 vehicles in 1925 and 1417 vehicles from January to October 1926 and the sale of the 508th vehicle on March 27, 1926 are guaranteed.

Successor was Amilcar Type L .
