Amphoe Chamni ( Thai อำเภอ ชำนิ ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) of Buri Ram Province . The province of Buri Ram is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): the Amphoe Lam Plai Mat , Mueang Buri Ram , Nang Rong , Nong Ki and Nong Hong . All Amphoe are in Buri Ram Province.

history

Chamni was initially created on April 1, 1992 as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) by separating the five Tambon Chamni, Cho Phaka, Laluat, Mueang Yang and Nong Plong from the Amphoe Nang Rong . On December 5, 1996, it was promoted to Amphoe.

  • Chamni (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ชำนิ )
  • Nong Plong (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง ปล่อง )
