Amphoe Nong Hong ( Thai : อำเภอ หนอง หงส์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the west of Buri Ram Province . The province of Buri Ram is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from northeast): Lam Plai Mat , Chamni and Nong Ki districts in Buri Ram province and Chakkarat and Huai Thalaeng districts in Nakhon Ratchasima province .

history

Nong Hong was initially set up on March 31, 1981 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating the three tambon Sa Kaeo, Huai Hin and Thai Samakkhi from the Lam Plai Mat district . On January 1, 1988, it was promoted to Amphoe.
