Amphoe Ban Kruat ( Thai : อำเภอ บ้านกรวด ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the southeast of Buri Ram Province . The province of Buri Ram is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

Neighboring districts (clockwise from west): Lahan Sai and Prakhon Chai districts in Buri Ram Province and Prasat and Phanom Dong Rak districts in Surin Province . To the south, the Ban Kruat district borders on the Oddar Meanchey Province of Cambodia .

history

Ban Kruat was initially set up as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) in 1938 , by separating the Tambon Ban Kruat from the Amphoe Prakhon Chai . In 1965 it was promoted to Amphoe.

The district of Ban Kruat is divided into nine tambon ("subdistricts" or "municipalities"), which are further subdivided into 115 muban ("villages").

  • Ban Kruat Panyawat (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้านกรวด ปัญญา วั ฒ น์ )

  • Chanthop Phet (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล จัน ทบ เพชร )
