Amphoe Nong Ki ( Thai : อำเภอ หนองกี่ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the west of the province of Buri Ram . The province of Buri Ram is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from the northeast): Nong Hong , Chamni , Nang Rong and Non Suwan districts in Buri Ram province and Soeng Sang , Khon Buri and Nong Bun Mak districts in Nakhon Ratchasima province .

history

Nong Ki was initially set up as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) on March 1, 1974 , by separating the three tambon Nong Ki, Yoei Prasat and Mueang Phai from the Nang Rong district . On April 12, 1977 it was promoted to Amphoe.

Local administration

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Don Arang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดอน อะ ราง ) consists of the whole tambon Don Arang.
  • Nong Ki (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนองกี่ ) consists of parts of the Tambon Nong Ki, Thung Kratat Phatthana and Thung Kraten.
  • San Chao Pho Khun Si (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศาล เจ้า พ่อขุน ศรี ) consists of further parts of the Tambon Nong Ki.

There are also eight " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):
