Amphoe Non Suwan ( Thai : อำเภอ โนน สุวรรณ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the west of Buri Ram Province . The province of Buri Ram is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): Nong Ki , Nang Rong and Pakham districts in Buri Ram province and Soeng Sang district in Nakhon Ratchasima province .

history

Non Suwan was initially set up on April 1, 1991 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating four tambon from the Nang Rong district . On September 8, 1995, it was promoted to Amphoe.

The district of Non Suwan is divided into four tambon ("subdistricts" or "municipalities"), which are further subdivided into 56 muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Non Suwan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนน สุวรรณ ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Non Suwan, Krok Kaeo.
  • Krok Kaeo (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โกรก แก้ว ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Krok Kaeo.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

  • Non Suwan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โนน สุวรรณ ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Non Suwan.
  • Thung Changhan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ทุ่ง จังหัน ) consisting of the complete tambon Thung Changhan.
  • Dong I Chan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ดง อี จาน ) consisting of the complete tambon Dong I Chan.
