Amphoe Pakham ( Thai อำเภอ ปะ คำ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the southwest of the province of Buri Ram . The province of Buri Ram is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from the north): the Amphoe Non Suwan , Nang Rong , Lahan Sai and Non Din Daeng in Buri Ram Province and Amphoe Soeng Sang in Nakhon Ratchasima Province .

history

Pakham was initially set up on December 1, 1978 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating the three Tambon Pakham, Thai Charoen and Nong Bua from the Lahan Sai district . On March 15, 1985, it was promoted to Amphoe.
