Wiang Sa (Nan) district

Amphoe Wiang Sa ( Thai : อำเภอ เวียง สา ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in Nan Province . Nan Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the south): Na Noi in Nan Province, Rong Kwang and Song Districts in Phrae Province and Ban Luang , Mueang Nan , Phu Phiang and Mae Charim in Nan. To the east lies the Sayaburi Province of Laos .

history

In 1908 the " Branch Circle " ( King Amphoe ) Mueang Sa was established, initially consisting of the seven tambon Mueang Sa, Ai Na Lai, Ban San, Ban Khueng, Pong Sanuk, Nam Khao and Lai Na, which were separated from Mueang Nan . In 1909, Mueang Sa was promoted to Amphoe. In 1917 it was renamed Phun Yuen ( บุญ ยืน ) because the administration building was in this tambon . In 1939 the district got its historical name back, but without the word Mueang , which was reserved for the districts of the provincial capitals. On January 23, 1986 the district was renamed again to its current name Wiang Sa.

  • Si Nan National Park (Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ ศรี น่าน ) - is partly located in the districts of Na Noi and Na Muen . The 1024 km² large park consists of high mountains with a height of up to 1234 meters.

Local administration

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

• Klang Wiang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กลาง เวียง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Pong Sanuk and parts of the Tambon Klang Wiang.
• Khueng (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ขึ่ ง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Khueng.
• Wiang Sa (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เวียง สา ) consisting of parts of the tambon sound Wiang.

There are also 13 " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

• Lai Nan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ไหล่ น่าน ) consisting of the complete Tambon Lai Nan.
• Tan Chum (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ตาล ชุม ) consisting of the complete tambon Tan Chum.
• Na Lueang (Thai: องค์การ บริหารส่วน ตำบล นา เหลือง ) consisting of the complete tambon Na Lueang.
• San (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ส้า น ) consisting of the complete Tambon San.
• Nam Muap (Thai: องค์การ บริหารส่วน ตำบล น้ำ ม ว บ ) consisting of the complete tambon Nam Muap, San Na Nong Mai.
• Nam Pua (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล น้ำ ปั้ ว ) consisting of the complete tambon Nam Pua.

• Chom Chan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล จอม จันทร์ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Chom Chan.
• Mae Sa (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล แม่ สา ) consisting of the complete tambon Mae Sa.
