In Office Ticino eight municipalities and the city of Ticino (official residence) are connected together to perform their administrative business. The office is located in the northeast of the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany).

On January 1, 2005, the formerly free city of Ticino was incorporated into the Ticino-Land Office and the official name was changed to Office Ticino .

The official area lies on both sides of the upper Recknitz valley southeast of Rostock . In the north it borders on the district of Vorpommern-Rügen .
