In the Neubukow-Salzhaff office formed in 1993 , six municipalities have come together to handle their administrative business. The office is located in the west of the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). The official seat is in the non-official city of Neubukow . In the west and northwest, the district has an approximately 18-kilometer-long Baltic Sea coastline, approximately 25 kilometers of the lagoon coast (the Salzhaff with the Kroy secondary bay ) and a portion of the cooling ridge in the east . The tourism is to be emphasized near the coast ( Rerik ). The Bastorf lighthouse is a sight to see because of its height of fire .
