In the Neubukow-Salzhaff office formed in 1993 , six municipalities have come together to handle their administrative business. In the west and northwest, the district has an approximately 18-kilometer-long Baltic Sea coastline, approximately 25 kilometers of the lagoon coast (the Salzhaff with the Kroy secondary bay ) and a portion of the cooling ridge in the east .
