In the Bad Doberan-Land office , nine municipalities were brought together to carry out their administrative business. The office is located in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany) west of Rostock . The official seat is in the non-official city of Bad Doberan . The district has an approximately 15-kilometer-long Baltic Sea coastline in the north and a portion of the cooling mountain range in the west .

Coat of arms, flag, official seal
The office does not have an officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with a torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription “AMT BAD DOBERAN-LAND • LANDKREIS ROSTOCK”.
