Ana Laura Márquez Esteban (born November 3, 1986 ) is a professional Spanish poker player .

Personal

Marquez grew up in Malaga and showed an early interest in Egyptology . She studied history with a minor in economics at the American University in Washington, DC and wrote her bachelor thesis on the history of the game of poker from the 1970s. Marquez had a relationship with the American poker player Bryn Kenney . She is in a relationship with Thomas Mühlöcker , an Austrian poker player.

Poker career

Márquez began playing poker while studying, initially playing cash games daily in Atlantic City . She plays on the online poker platform PokerStars under the nickname WNDRWMN23 and could be found on Full Tilt Poker as nyx86 . In addition, she uses her real name at 888poker and GGPoker . Márquez was a member of Team PokerStars and has been sponsored by 888poker since July 2018 . Since 2009 she has also participated in renowned live tournaments .

Márquez finished tenth in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures (PCA) Main Event in the Bahamas in January 2011 and received $ 155,000 in prize money . In June 2011 she was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came in two tournaments of the No Limit Hold'em variant , u. a. of the Ladies Championship , into the money.
